myRegence.com video recognized for excellence with EMMY Awards Nominations
PORTLAND, Ore. – Fishing With Cancer: A New Angle on Recovery, a video produced for Regence’s health and wellness website, myRegence.com, has been nominated for a Northwest Regional EMMY® Award. The video tells the story of a group of avid fly fishermen who watched the impact fishing had on a friend battling brain cancer. Seeing those benefits first-hand inspired the anglers to create a group called "Reel Recovery." The organization gives other men fighting cancer the opportunity to trade stories with those in similar straits, all while honing their fly-fishing skills. The original video was created and produced by Jamey Toombs, and co-produced by Brian Thomson of the myRegence.com award-winning video team
“This video tells an important story of men finding support and hope through their battles with cancer,"
said Torben Nielsen, Vice President of eBusiness Solutions for Regence. “We are honored to be nominated, as it demonstrates our commitment to providing quality, relevant information to our members.”
