VSP Vision Savings Pass offers discounted rates for exams and eyewear for eligible members

The COVID-19 pandemic continues to create economic challenges and job losses both locally and nationally. In response, VSP is offering a discount program—Vision Savings Pass—to eligible Regence members who have lost their vision benefits due to a change in employment or insurance coverage. This includes access to discounted exams and eyewear through the VSP network.

Even if an employer stops offering vision insurance, their employees can continue accessing VSP network services at discounted costs. Regence members can learn more online at visionsavingspass.vspforme.com/.

“People are facing unprecedented challenges and uncertainty right now, so it’s important that we continue providing resources and support,” said Dr. Jim Polo, Regence executive medical director. “VSP’s discount program makes it less expensive to maintain eye health while working through a change in employment or coverage.”

Those who are eligible to enroll include employees who currently have VSP vision and are not enrolled in COBRA (the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act). No referral is required. VSP’s Vision Savings Pass is currently being offered through Dec. 31, 2020, as we continue to assess the pandemic.
