“We are just now beginning to see the impact of our partnership with Regence.  Without Regence support, it would not be possible for us to undertake this specific work to change lives and help not only our students, but their families begin to see the ‘leader within’ and maintain a sense of hope and possibility.” Kristina Brinkerhoff, principal, Orchards Elementary – Lewiston, ID; in conjunction with Regence support of Community Action Partnership and its 7 Habits of Successful Families program.

Making “game-changing” impacts that result in statements like the one above are what drive Regence’s approach to community investments. In fact, as we work toward our Cause to be a catalyst to transform health care, creating a person-focused and economically sustainable system, we hold a strong commitment to serving others before ourselves and bringing out the best in our communities.

More than just writing a check, through our Community Partner Organization (CPO) program we invest in strategic partnerships that not only align with our core values, but that aim to strengthen nonprofits’ infrastructure and ability to better serve the larger community – for the long-term.

With such great social needs though, it is always difficult to decide where to direct our support. We evaluate opportunities against a comprehensive matrix of criteria, with strong emphasis on organizations working toward improved health and wellness for all, and on our ability to have an impact on those efforts.

From engaging employee volunteers to offering the nonprofits access to expert consultation and skill sharing, the relationship’s value is richened through tactics that ultimately contribute to meaningful improvements for the nonprofit and toward improving the quality of life for people throughout our region.
