Andrew Over named director of community and business relations

PORTLAND, Ore. – Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Oregon announced today that it has named Andrew Over as its new director of community and business relations. He will lead the company’s efforts to build strong relationships with employers, business and civic leaders, and community groups across Oregon.

“This position is a natural fit for Andrew and will serve our members well. He has a clear understanding of the value strategic relationships bring to an organization and the significance that they hold within a community,” said Don Antonucci, president of Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Oregon. “Andrew will grow those partnerships to benefit our members, customers, and the communities in which they live and work.”

Previously, Over served as a sales analyst with Regence. In that role he partnered with company leadership to establish sales strategic objectives, provide budget and membership forecasting, and identify opportunities for business development and community investment.

Before joining Regence, Andrew served as the executive director of the Oregon Republican Party. He also worked with U.S. Senator Gordon Smith as his deputy campaign manager and deputy state director.

Over, who lives in Beaverton, earned his bachelor’s degree in history from Lewis & Clark College. He currently serves on the Friends of Doernbecher board of directors.

Over succeeds Angela Hult as director of community and business relations in Oregon. Hult was recently promoted to director of corporate philanthropy.
