Going for the Gold: Regence honored by American Business Awards as Product Management Department of the Year

PORTLAND, Ore.– Regence was presented with a Gold Stevie® Award for Product Management Department of the Year in the 10th Annual American Business Awards, the nation’s premier business awards program. The team was recognized for the development and use of best-practice product roadmap management and product development lifecycle tools.

More than 3,000 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories, including Most Innovative Company of the Year, Management Team of the Year, Best New Product or Service of the Year, Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year, and Executive of the Year. Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word for “crowned,” the trophies were presented to winners during a gala banquet at the Julia Morgan Ballroom in San Francisco. More than 200 nominees and their guests attended.

Regence was nominated in the category of Product Development/Management Department or Team of the Year. The Stevie Award winners were selected by more than 270 executives nationwide who participated in the judging process this year. The recognition was based on several key criteria:
·         Positive performance of products launched in 2012.
·         How the Commercial Products team interfaces with key stakeholders during the product planning, development, implementation and launch process.
·         How product requirements are managed throughout various parts of the organization.
“We are very excited to be chosen for this award, as it reflects our hard work and dedication to creating products that provide great value for our members,” said Bill Bradley, vice president of Product Development for Regence. “I am very proud of the work our team has done to create a product development process that has allowed us to surpass our goals for bringing new products to market in 2012.”
