BOISE – Regence BlueShield of Idaho is ensuring its sales retention efforts remain second-to-none in the marketplace with the appointment of Cynthia Murray to the position of Idaho Sales Retention Manager. She assumes the title from Jon Johnson, who is retiring the end of March after 25 years of service to Regence and its customers and contacts across the state. “While I’m humbled by the thought of filling Jon’s large shoes, I’m excited to take on this energizing opportunity,” said Murray. “This is a dynamic time in our industry, and I’m committed to keeping all of our customers and clients fully apprised of what’s going on, what’s coming up and how we at Regence are working nonstop to help them navigate through all the uncertainty.”
Prior to joining Regence in July of last year, Murray worked as a large group account executive with Humana in Salt Lake City. She was responsible for the management and retention of existing large employer groups, and for the placement of additional product lines and benefit services in support of multi-year growth strategies. Murray also worked for Hays Companies as a relationship leader, responsible for the management and retention of fully insured and self-funded key account consulting clients. Earlier, she worked with First West Benefits Insurance where she managed client services in all aspects of claims resolution, billing issues, renewal options and strategic planning.
“We’re extremely fortunate to be able to find someone of Cynthia’s caliber already in our organization and ready to move up. She’s been able to work alongside Jon for weeks to assure a seamless transition for everyone involved. Cynthia’s innovative, insightful and absolutely passionate about customer service. I couldn’t be more thrilled to have her in this key role for us,” said Scott Kreiling, market president of Regence BlueShield of Idaho.
A business management graduate of Montana State University, Murray has completed extensive continuing education coursework in value-based healthcare, the defined contribution market, self-funded health plans, and leveraging benefits to drive employee productivity.
