Regence unveils new approach to healthcare with launch of HSA Healthplan 2.0
Banking partners and up-front preventive benefits add value to consumer-directed plan
PORTLAND – Consumers are looking for ways to make the most of their money, particularly their health care dollar. Regence offers a solution with Regence HSA Healthplan 2.0, which helps members manage costs and still keep the benefits they value the most. Regence HSA Healthplan 2.0 pairs a high-deductible plan with a health savings account (HSA). This plan combines benefits, resources and tools members need to make the most of their health care dollar, including preferred banking partners, consumer-focused tools and rewards for healthy and money-wise behaviors.
Regence has offered its members an HSA since 2004. Regence HSA Healthplan 2.0 builds on the same high quality product, with an expanded set of health care services and tools that empower a member to make important health care decisions that are right for them. These tools include up-front preventive benefits, personalized one-on-one support, wellness programs, health calculators and an HSA navigational guide. Regence recently added U.S. Bank as a banking partner, giving members a choice of three preferred banking options that also include Wells Fargo and HSA Bank.
“Members who choose an HSA are seeking a different way to manage their health care and we are pleased to offer a different kind of health plan with Regence HSA Healthplan 2.0,” said Julia Poduch, vice president of Product Management for Regence. “Features such as online tools, personalized support, well-established partner banks and robust up-front preventive benefits embody our commitment to engaging members to help them make the most of their health benefits.”
Regence HSA Healthplan 2.0 combines a comprehensive medical plan and a tax-free savings account. The medical plan provides benefits for covered services, while the HSA helps pay for out-of-pocket costs such as deductibles, coinsurance and other qualified medical expenses. This includes some things that may not be covered by many medical plans, such as alternative care, dental care, and vision services.
HSA Healthplan 2.0 offers a unique member experience with the following services and rewards for better health:
• An interactive, online tour helps members understand their HSA.
• Personalized, one-on-one support through a specialized customer service team, Regence Health Coach, CareEnhance 24-hour nurse line and Special Beginnings maternity program.
• myRegence.com provides members with resources, tools, and programs to help them navigate the health care system and reward them for living well.
