Regence Welcomes Lisa Brubaker as Senior Vice President of Government Programs
PORTLAND, Ore. — Regence, a leading health plan in the Northwest/Intermountain region, has named Lisa Brubaker as Senior Vice President of Government Programs, succeeding Joanne Long who retired earlier this year. In this role, Brubaker will lead Regence’s Medicare, Medicaid and other government business.
Brubaker comes to Regence from MVP Health Care, a not-for-profit health plan that focuses on Commercial, Medicare and Medicaid safety net products. Most recently, she held the position of executive vice president of Government Programs for MVP Health Care. In this role, Brubaker was responsible for the company’s products profit and loss oversight, Medicare Advantage product expansion and membership growth, and achieving its competitive Star Ratings. Previously, she also served in the role of Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Preferred Care prior to that company’s acquisition by MVP Health Care.

Brubaker is a graduate of Iowa State University and the University of Michigan, School of Public Health, where she earned her master’s degree in Health Service Administration. She began her career as Executive Director of the Monroe County Medical Society.
An active volunteer with a number of community organizations, Brubaker serves on the boards of the YMCA, the United Way and others. She will be based in Portland, effective June 18, 2012.
