Cassia Regional Hospital now included in Regence BlueShield of Idaho network

Members living in the Magic Valley can receive in-network care at any acute care or critical access hospital in the region.
All of us like the idea of being in control of our purchasing decisions – especially those related to determining where and from whom we obtain needed products or services. Whether it’s buying a car or getting our house painted, we want to feel empowered to choose who we’re going to do business with. Yet in health care, it often feels like choice is hard to come by.
Even if you live in an area with several competing hospitals, doesn’t it seem like the only thing that really matters is a facility’s network status with your insurer? Wouldn’t it be nice if you could decide which hospital to go to based on recommendations from your doctor, friends and family members, how close the facility is to your home and the facility’s reputation for affordable, quality care?
Regence works hard to ensure it offers its members access to care that’s available when, where and how they want it – at reasonable costs. In Idaho, Regence recently concluded negotiations that brought Burley’s Cassia Regional Hospital into its network. Cassia’s inclusion in the Regence network means members living in the Magic Valley can receive in-network care at any acute care or critical access hospital in the region. “We believe our members should be able to get quality care on their terms,” said Regence BlueShield of Idaho Network Management Vice President John Heintz. “That’s why we’re so pleased to have a new agreement with Cassia Regional Hospital that expands choice for people living in south-central Idaho.”
More broadly, all 43 of Idaho’s critical access and acute care hospitals are now in-network with Regence.
