When you think of coupons, your mind naturally associates them with discounts. But did you know there’s a coupon that can actually lead to higher costs?
The New York Times profiles how prescription drug coupons can actually drive up costs for consumers. The article cites researchers who found that “coupons for 23 select drugs with generic alternatives resulted in an extra $700 million to $2.7 billion in spending on drugs over five years.”
