Customer Service Week 2022: Regence celebrates service and those who help health plan members every day

As National Customer Service Week comes to an end, we'd like to take a moment to recognize and thank our customer service representatives. For most Regence members, Customer Service is the face – or more accurately, the voice – of our health plan. Our customer service representatives' dedication to our members is inspiring every day; their hard work makes health care a little easier for the people we serve.

Many of the calls that our Customer Service team receives on a daily basis are routine. They help people check benefits, find a provider or understand a claim. Other times, members call because they need help with a more difficult situation. They’ve received an overwhelming diagnosis, are concerned about how much care will cost or are confused by the complexity of our health care system. Members call us when they are frustrated, angry and scared, and our Customer Service team meets them where they are with empathy and professionalism.

The United States Congress designated Customer Service Week a nationally recognized event in 1992, and it is observed yearly during the first full week of October, this year from October 3rd to 7th. The goal of National Customer Service Week is to recognize and celebrate the people who provide customer service on behalf of their company or organization.

Every year we celebrate Customer Service Week with fun activities, prizes and more for our team members, and Regence’s theme for 2022 is “Celebrating Service”. This week and every week, we thank our award-winning Customer Service team for their incredible compassion, grace, creativity, agility and strength while helping Regence members.
