Hood to Coast Washington: Fostering team and community building through fitness
Hood to Coast Washington isn’t just about health and wellness through fitness. It’s also about teamwork, creativity and fun. This past weekend, 350 teams of all ages and abilities came together to compete in either the 75-mile run relay or 53-mile walk relay on Saturday, June 1, starting and ending in the coastal town of Seabrook, Washington. Regence teams had a blast dressing up as 80s runners, lumberjacks and Rosie the Riveter while bonding with co-workers and company partners.
This year, Regence was thrilled to support The American Cancer Society of Washington State as its charity of choice, supporting their work to bring local resources, programs, and events to those affected by cancer. Now in its third year, Regence is proud to be the title sponsor of an event that makes a huge economic impact in Pierce County – our birthplace – as well as on our participating employees’ wellness.
Living #fearless means going the extra mile - and showing your #HTCWA team spirit! Excited to see so many runners, walkers & Regence teams ready for the 2019 relay! pic.twitter.com/oVxNAFEem3
