Regence COVID-19 symptom checker

Symptoms associated with COVID-19 are varied. As medical professionals treat more patients with the virus, new symptoms are emerging besides fever, cough, and shortness of breath. These include chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea. Symptoms may occur 2-14 days after exposure to COVID-19.

What makes all of that even more complicated is that some symptoms also mimic what you might feel with a cold or flu.

To help you better sort through those symptoms, Regence has launched a COVID-19 symptom checker on regence.com. Powered by Microsoft technology and using health information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the interactive tool moves users through a series of questions about things like age, health conditions, and symptoms experienced to help deliver recommendations on how to seek care and when to stay home. The tool can be used to check symptoms of anyone over age 2 and you don’t have to be a Regence member.

If you or a family member feels sick, the CDC recommends calling your doctor or urgent care center first rather than going in person. If you need help finding a doctor or urgent care center, you can visit regence.com and search for a provider, or call us at the number on the back of your member ID card.

If you’re not feeling sick, the best thing you can do is to keep practicing healthy habits like regular hand washing for at least 20 seconds, social distancing, and wearing a mask when in public to protect yourself and others.

Regence has removed barriers to getting care during this time through no-cost testing and treatment for COVID-19, expanding telehealth and virtual care options for most services, relaxing refill policies, and more. Visit regence.com to learn more.
