On Saturday, July 1, Regence BlueShield and Sounders FC celebrated the importance of free play and physical activity for youth and the work being done in the community to support these efforts. As the matchday sponsor of Sounders FC’s annual "Defend the Right to Play" match, Regence hosted several activities to give fans the chance to learn more about increasing free-play equity throughout Washington state.
Regence, the club’s Official Health Plan Partner, and Sounders FC recently announced a multi-year partnership to improve the physical health and total wellness of youth. This will include youth clinics and new playfields, aimed to increase access to health and wellness programs, including physical and mental health curriculum to kids in underserved communities.
