Regence Celebrates Living Fearless for National Pride Month

Every summer, Regence employees across the Northwest join their friends, family, and neighbors to celebrate National Pride Month. It’s a time when all walks of life come together in support of diversity, inclusion, and respect for one another.

Regence is incredibly proud to participate in the many pride parades and festivals that take place in the communities where we work and live. Not to mention all the fun we have while doing it.

This year we’ve had record turnouts, including the Portland Pride Parade where nearly 100 Regence employees showed off their “Living Fearless Is Being You” t-shirts and signs. Walking under sunny skies to a cheering crowd, we handed out hundreds of multi-colored beaded necklaces, while waving, smiling and living fearlessly the entire route. It was a heartfelt celebration of a wonderfully diverse community.

Many members and visitors came to our booths at the Utah Pride Festival and the Seattle Pride Festival, thrilled that we were there supporting our LGBTQIA+ community and diversity & inclusion.

None of our summer fun and celebrations would be possible, however, without the leadership of our Regence employee resource group “P.R.I.D.E.” (Professionals Respecting Individuality, Diversity & Equality). Today it includes over 170 members identifying as LGBTQIA+ or allies working across all our offices. We are better both as a company as well as a corporate citizen because of their critical work.
