Regence supports Dreamers
Dreamers are health care workers, educators, students, members of the military and so much more. We will continue to stand alongside them.
Regence is committed to the social and economic health of the communities we serve. That includes taking action to support “Dreamers” who came to America as children with parents who wanted to give them a better life, like so many generations before them.
Today, the U.S. is home to nearly 700,000 Dreamers, including more than 37,000 across Regence’s four-state footprint. They are health care workers, educators, students, members of the military and so much more. They are our neighbors and our friends, and they help sustain our communities and grow our economy.
In 2017, Mark Ganz, our CEO, joined 800+ CEOs nationally in calling on Congress to continue protecting Dreamers from deportation under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program (DACA) and pass a legislative solution to help Dreamers stay in the U.S. permanently.
In addition, our corporate parent joined the Coalition for the American Dream, an association of more than 60 leading U.S. companies also advocating for the same protections and permanent legislative solution.
We applaud the Supreme Court's decision to preserve DACA.
