Regence volunteers featured at Habitat for Humanity luncheon
Regence BlueShield is proud to partner with Habitat for Humanity on increasing access to affordable homeownership for hard-working Washington families. Since 2014, we have partnered with Habitat chapters across the state to boost their programs and support hundreds of home-build projects.
This week Regence was the presenting sponsor of Tacoma/Pierce County Habitat for Humanity’s annual Changing Lives Luncheon (watch our recap of the luncheon). In 2018, Regence BlueShield employees volunteered 183 hours of their time to Tacoma/Pierce County Habitat for Humanity, building homes for Pierce County families.
At this week’s luncheon, Tacoma/Pierce County Habitat for Humanity played a video telling the stories of Regence BlueShield employees and why they give back to local families. “It makes you feel good about what you’re doing, helping others,” said Regence employee Chris Book in the video. “And then seeing that family who was going to be moving into that house we were working on, it just means a lot.”
