Two-week campaign to support local nonprofits, Idaho Gives, starts April 23

Idaho has given you a place to belong. What can you give Idaho?
Thursday, April 23 marks the kick-off of Idaho Gives – this year, a two-week campaign hosted by the Idaho Nonprofit Center to bring awareness and raise funds for local nonprofits across the state of Idaho.
Last year, Idahoans raised nearly $1.9 million for Idaho Gives, which benefited hundreds of participating organizations. For 2020, the campaign has a new goal: to reach as many donors as possible.
“Now, more than ever, Idaho’s nonprofits need our help,” said Keri Davidson, vice president of membership and development at the Idaho Nonprofit Center. “Fueled by generous support from our friends and neighbors, we can ensure these organizations are able to continue to serve our community – even in this heighted time of need.”

Regence employees show their support for Idaho Gives last year. Due to COVID-19, the two-week campaign will be online-only this year.
Over 600 nonprofits will return again this year to participate in the two-week campaign (April 23 to May 7), representing causes ranging from hunger and food insecurity, affordable housing, and support services for homeless youth.
A returning sponsor of Idaho Gives, Regence BlueShield of Idaho is proud to stand alongside other local businesses to support the nonprofits that are the bedrock of our community; even more so as COVID-19 continues to affect the health and wellbeing of our friends and neighbors.
“We’re proud to support Idaho Gives again this year,” said Maureen Hamilton, Regence BlueShield of Idaho’s director of business and community relations. “It’s incredible to see our community rally around the causes they care about and support the resiliency of Idaho’s nonprofits – neighbor helping neighbor.”
Given current guidelines around social distancing, Idaho Gives donations will be accepted online at IdahoGives.org or by phone at 1-877-ID-Gives, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. through Thursday, May 7. Find out more about the participating nonprofits online, and follow along on social media using #IdahoGives.
Throughout the year, Regence BlueShield of Idaho partners with nonprofit organizations that are making Idaho a better place to work, play and live. Learn more about our philanthropic efforts to support our communities in light of COVID-19.
