AM Best reaffirms Regence plans’ financial strength

AM Best, the world’s oldest and most authoritative global credit rating agency specializing in the insurance industry, recently released the results of its review of Regence health plans. AM Best reaffirmed an “A” (Excellent) Financial Strength Rating (FSR); and an “a” Issuer Credit Rating (ICR) for Regence health insurance plans in Idaho, Oregon, Utah and Washington.  

These annual ratings demonstrate the strength and stability of our health plans and our commitment to financial stewardship. AM Best cites our strong balance sheets across health plans, overall favorable net earnings and premium growth over the last five years, comprehensive enterprise risk management and confidence in the organization’s capital positions as rationale for reaffirming Regence’s ratings.
