PORTLAND, Ore – Regence CEO Mark Ganz announced today the appointment of Bill Barr as Chief Executive Officer of Regence Life and Health. In this role, Bill will lead Regence Life and Health and its continued market growth in Idaho, Alaska, Oregon, Utah and Washington.

Bill will lead the development of innovative products and personalized services, including the recently launched myStro enrollment system. This tool combines online technology with customized guidance to help customers select a package of benefits to meet their changing needs over their lifetimes.
In his previous role as group executive vice president of Health Insurance Services, Bill provided oversight of major operations associated with delivering health insurance across Regence. Bill serves on the board of directors of the Citizens Crime Commission, Associated Oregon Industries, Marylhurst University and ChristieCare Foundation. He holds a bachelor's degree from San Diego State University, and masters’ degrees from Washington State University and the University of Missouri.
