LEWISTON, Idaho – With the help of a $200,000 donation from Regence BlueShield of Idaho, Northwest Children’s Home (NCH) has completed its remodel of Vision House, a treatment program for boys ages 6 to 12. This project added more than 900 square feet of space for children to receive individual and group therapy. It also updated the fire safety system throughout the residential facility.
“Northwest Children’s Home is an amazing resource for our community,” says Scott Kreiling, president of Regence BlueShield of Idaho. “They provide a safe place for children facing behavioral and emotional difficulties, and give them the support they need to lead healthy, successful lives. The expansion of NCH’s Lewiston campus will help make a difference in the lives of even more children.”
Last year, Regence designated NCH as a Community Partner Organization. As part of that three-year partnership, Regence provided NCH with primary funding to complete a three-phase construction project on its Lewiston campus. Phase two of the project is now complete with the remodel and expansion of the Vision House.

To most effectively provide them the treatment and care they need, we ourselves needed better facilities. It is incredible to see the difference these campus improvements are making. Thanks to the support from Regence and other key partners, we have already improved our ability to serve children by providing an enhanced space to offer education, therapy, and recreational activities.
