PORTLAND, Ore. – Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Oregon enthusiastically supports today’s signing of Senate Bill 365 by Governor Kitzhaber which provides a pathway toward more consistent and high quality coverage for Oregon children impacted by autism. This bill offers more predictability for impacted families, clearer guidelines for insurers, a more stringent qualifying and licensing system for providers of applied behavioral analysis services, and most importantly, reliable care for children in need.

Regence thanks all of the stakeholders who participated in this process, and in particular Senator Bates for his valued leadership on Senate Bill 365, Representative Buckley for his support, and Senator Edwards for initiating this important conversation among Oregon’s elected officials.
