PORTLAND, Ore. – Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Oregon today named Gillian Hays as its vice president of network management. Hays will provide executive leadership and strategic direction to the health insurer’s provider team based in Portland, with responsibilities for developing and implementing strategies and relationships across contracting, innovative provider partnerships, cost stewardship and more.
Hays has led the Oregon network management team on an interim basis since April, in addition to serving as the director of the regional network contracting. She is a seven-year Regence veteran, and has a combined 12 years of industry experience working collaboratively with hospital and physician groups to create member-centered care agreements that support the health of Oregonians and create more value for their health care dollar.

Hays earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Oregon. Her community service engagements include serving as an art literacy program facilitator for elementary school students, and supporting local animal welfare and humane education.
