Demand by small group employers for Innova and Engage spurs roll out to large groups
(Portland, Ore.) – Building on the positive response to Innova and Engage in the small group market, Regence is introducing Innova and Engage to the large group market. More than 74,000 small group members have enrolled in Innova and Engage since they were introduced last fall. On the heels of this success, the company has rolled out these products to all fully insured groups of two or more.
A unique advantage of Innova is that it provides the predictability many consumers look for by giving members coverage for basic care and laboratory tests. Upfront preventive benefits allow members to cover basic needs without a deductible. Engage simplifies coverage with a single coinsurance level and deductible that applies to all categories of providers, including physicians, hospitals, labs and clinics. Engage is a good option for those who want total freedom to choose providers and still have robust coverage wherever they go.
“Employees are a company’s most important investment, so employers want a robust, affordable health plan that helps them attract and retain talented people. Innova and Engage provide affordable benefits that still offer the flexibility and choice employees want,” said Mohan Nair, executive vice president and chief marketing executive for Regence. “By self-managing their benefits, employees will directly impact their health care costs while still enjoying the benefit of a comprehensive benefit plan.”
Both Innova and Engage plans include nationwide coverage, a 24-7 nurseline, maternity management program and Regence health coaches, who help members develop their own personal health development plan and provide support to help members meet their health goals. Members on Regence’s self-managed plans also have access to myregence.com, where they can view claims information and use a new cost accumulator tool to help manage their health care spending.
Self-managed plans are a completely new kind of coverage that promotes healthy living, fewer hassles, and more choice. The plans include at no additional cost a variety of programs to help members make the best use of those choices. These include:
- MyRegence.com - claims, accumulators, information, tools, programs
- Health Coach
- 24/7 NurseLine
- Special Beginnings
- Regence Advantages program - discounts on things such as hearing aids, fitness club membership, weight management program, contact lenses and LASIK.
With self-managed plans, members don't need to check to see if their doctor is in or out of a network - all are available in these plans. No primary care physician requirements and no referral requirements mean fewer hassles for members.
