(Portland, OR) – Regence Life and Health CEO Joe Wilds is proud to announce that Janae Sorenson is one of 25 women executives honored by the Portland Business Journal with an Orchid Award. The awards were presented on April 7 at the Hilton Hotel at the Women of Influence luncheon to recognize women who are making an impact on the local business community.
“We are thrilled that Janae has been chosen for this prestigious honor. It recognizes the leadership and commitment that she has invested in helping Regence Life and Health grow its business and serve our members. She is an inspiration to us and to other women in the community,” said Joe Wilds, CEO of Regence Life and Health.
Since Sorenson first joined RLH as Vice President of Sales and Marketing in 2008 (she became President in 2009), the company has doubled sales and expanded from 81 employees in 2009 to 94 today.
Janae serves her community through a diverse mix of volunteer service, including volunteering at Ainsworth Elementary School, serving as a Girl Scout troop leader, and serving on the board of Start Making a Reader Today (SMART).
