SEATTLE, WA (March 14, 2016) – Today Regence will take part in a Reverse Pitch Day event alongside UW Medicine and MultiCare Health System. As anchor partners of the Cambia Grove, these organizations will present the startup community with a business challenge they are working to solve.

Reverse Pitch Day connects enterprise decision-makers with the startup and entrepreneur community to offer providers, health plans, and employers a forum to discuss their business challenges.  As a result, each anchor partner will select a startup to address their business challenges. Examples of potential pilot projects include; technology-enabled health care services, big data analytics, or new consumer-focused solutions that reduce health care costs.

“The health care industry continues to experience unprecedented change—the way consumers want and need to access care is evolving and we must increase our agility to create innovative solutions that better meet them where they are today,” said Laurent Rotival, Senior Vice President of Strategic Technology Solutions and CIO of Cambia Health Solutions. “Tapping into the talent of our region’s health care startup community will allow us to lead by example and encourage health plans to do the same.”

“The momentum and the increased level of engagement across the health care innovation sector has been astounding since we opened our doors just a year ago,” said Nicole Bell, Executive Director of the Cambia Grove. “Our anchor partners are a key ingredient to our success and their ongoing commitment to support and sustain a growing startup community couldn’t be achieved without them by our side.”
