Regional health care leaders and policymakers recently gathered in Portland for the 2022 Oregon State of Reform conference to discuss important Oregon health policy topics.
The robust conference agenda included panel discussions on the future of health care delivery post-COVID and new payment approaches. Experts from Regence participated in both discussions.
Regence Executive Medical Director Dr. Jim Polo noted that the future of health care delivery post-COVID will be a hybrid model, combining traditional brick-and-mortar services with home-based and virtual care. (Related: Regence Health Policy Center releases policy summary for home-based care.)
Later in the day, Eleanor Escafi, Regence’s director of network innovation, shared learnings from Regence’s implementation of value-based payment models, emphasizing opportunities outside of the traditional fee-for-service setup.
