Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Oregon is pleased to announce Mary Anne Cooper as director of government affairs. In this key leadership role, Cooper will oversee the company’s state legislative and regulatory efforts to promote a more person-focused and economically sustainable health care system.
Prior to joining Regence, Cooper served as vice president of government and legal affairs for the Oregon Farm Bureau, representing the diverse interests of Oregon’s rural communities. During her tenure, Cooper worked to build awareness across the rural-urban divide and advance bipartisan solutions benefitting the entire state. She has also worked as an attorney in private practice. Cooper’s community interests include building sustainable food systems.
Cooper graduated from Oregon State University and the University of Oregon School of Law. She is based in Portland, Ore.
