Regence expands telehealth to ease access to care during COVID-19 emergency
Regence's top priority is to connect members safely and effectively to care. Today, Regence expanded most members’ access to providers through telephone, video, text and other options to help them get the care they need during the COVID-19 state of emergency while maintaining social distancing. Services may include virtual office visits through telehealth, instant messaging with doctors and nurses, and home health visits in select areas.
Members can set up appointments for both routine preventive services and COVID-19-related concerns with primary care and behavioral health providers. Regence will also waive the cost shares for the COVID-19 test and the related telehealth visit.
These convenient virtual-care options help minimize the spread of infection and ease pressure on providers’ offices and emergency rooms. Please note that wait times may be longer than usual. To schedule an appointment, please call your doctor’s office and ask about virtual care options or call Regence Customer Service for available solutions according to your plan and health needs.
Regence also has eased members’ access to care in other ways:
- No pre-authorization required for COVID-19 testing or treatment.
- No cost share for provider-recommended COVID-19 tests and associated telehealth or office visit.
- Eased medication policies to allow refills as needed for medications and make 90-day supplies of medications available except opioids.
Members who have questions about their options or benefits should call Regence at the number on the back of their member ID card. For the latest on COVID-19 questions, please visit our webpage.
