Regence is pleased to announce that Brent Hess has been named vice president of Medicare sales. In this role, Hess will lead sales and business development teams focused on prospective Medicare customers and employer retiree groups.
Hess, a seasoned leader with more than 18 years in health care, will be responsible for Medicare sales across Regence’s four-state footprint of Idaho, Oregon, Utah and Washington. This includes supporting prospects and brokers as they work together throughout the year to find Medicare solutions that best suit their needs.
“Medicare is a complex and fast-growing market,” said Kathleen Faulk, senior vice president of government programs at Regence. “Over the past few years, Brent has proven to be a strong, customer-focused leader. His deep knowledge and commitment to our markets ensures we can continue best serving our members and focusing on sustainable growth.”
Hess joined Regence in 2020 as the director of Medicare sales. Before that he served as director of government sales for SelectHealth in Utah, Idaho and Nevada, leading product strategy and distribution. Prior to that he served as a regional sales manager with Humana, overseeing the Utah, Idaho and Nevada markets.

Hess earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration with a minor in human resources management from California State University, Fullerton. He also completed his MBA at Western Governors University.
